1. From the Evora app
Signed in to your account in the app:
- open the Profile tab, then tap “Settings”;
- choose “Account information”;
- at the bottom of the screen, tap “Delete my account”;
- confirm by typing the requested word (“DELETE”).
2. From the evora.live website
Signed in to your account on evora.live:
- open Settings from your account menu;
- choose My data;
- click “Delete my account”;
- confirm by typing the requested word (“DELETE”).
3. Without access to your account
If you can no longer sign in (app uninstalled, password lost, account created with Google, Apple or Facebook), enter your account's email address below.
If an Evora account uses this address, we send it a confirmation link valid for 24 hours. Nothing is deleted until you open that link and confirm: this is how we check that the request really comes from you. Your confirmation then schedules the deletion exactly as from the app.
No longer have access to that address? Write to our DPO from another address, at the address given below, with information that lets us check the account is yours. We answer within one month.
4. 30-day period and cancellation
Deletion is not immediate: your account is anonymised 30 days after the request. Until then, it remains usable.
To cancel, sign in and tap “Cancel the deletion”: in the app, under Profile › Settings › Account information; on the website, under Settings › My data. You can also write to our DPO. Once anonymisation has started, it can no longer be cancelled.
If you are the only owner of an organization, the request is refused or stays pending: first appoint another owner, or delete the organization, from Evora Orga or evora.live.
5. What is deleted
At the end of the 30-day period:
- your profile is anonymised: name replaced with “Deleted account”, email address replaced, profile photo, cover photo and bio erased. Signing in to the account becomes impossible.
- the files you uploaded are deleted: profile and cover photos, memories, photos of your spots, attachments of your reports and data exports.
- your devices and notification tokens, your active sessions and the history of sign-in IP addresses are deleted.
- your shared positions, your spots and the location shares you granted or received are deleted.
- your Signals, their recipients and their messages, as well as your trusted contacts, are deleted.
- your notifications, your memories and the invitation links to your collections are deleted.
- you leave all your organizations; the bank cards you had added to them are removed.
- the deletion is passed on to our subprocessors: your Stripe customer record, your Brevo contact and your PostHog profile are deleted.
6. What is kept, and for how long
Some data is kept, because of a legal obligation or because it belongs to other people:
- Billing: organizations' transactions and invoices are kept for 10 years from issue (accounting obligation, art. L123-22 of the French Commercial Code). They remain attached to the anonymised profile.
- Organization content: events, announcements, invoices and bank details created for an organization belong to it and stay with it; your name is removed from the announcements you signed.
- Moderation and verification: questions you asked on an event are replaced with “[Message deleted]”; your reports are kept without their free text; an identity verification record is kept without name or date of birth, to trace the decision.
- Other people's Signals: messages you wrote in someone else's Signal stay in their conversation, attached to the anonymised profile, and are erased with that Signal, 30 days after it is closed.
- Activity: your registrations, follows, favourites and collections remain attached to the anonymised profile.
- Technical logs: 12 months at most (LCEN art. 6.II).
- Your request: its date, type and status are kept as proof that it was handled (3 years).
7. Delete part of your data without deleting your account
You can erase part of your data and keep your account. In the app, Settings open from the Profile tab; on the website, from your account menu.
- Memories and photos: Profile › Memories › open the memory › “…” › “Delete memory” (photos and note). To remove a single photo: same menu › “Edit memory”, then remove the photo. Same in the app and on the website.
- Photos offered to an event gallery: in the memory, withdraw them with “Withdraw”. On someone else's photo where you appear, “I'm in this photo” asks for its removal.
- Tags: Profile › Memories › open the photo you are tagged in › “Remove my tag”. To prevent new ones: Settings › Privacy › “Who can tag me” › “Nobody”.
- Location sharing: in the app, Explore › Friends › “Visibility” › “No one” › “Apply” stops sharing and erases your last position; you can also turn off Settings › Privacy › “Location sharing” (app and website).
- Spots (app): Explore › Spots › your spot › “Edit place” › trash icon “Delete this point” (photo included).
- Favorites: My events › Favorites, or the event page › tap the full heart › “Remove from favorites”. The event also leaves your collections.
- Messages: messages written in a Signal are erased with it, 30 days after it is closed. There is no button to erase a specific message: ask for it with the form above, choosing “Delete specific data”.
- Copy of your data: in the app, Settings › My data › “Download my data”; on the website, Settings › My data › “Export my data”. Within 24 hours you receive by email a download link valid for 7 days.
- Any other data: use the form above, choosing “Delete specific data”, and describe what you want erased. We answer at the address given, within one month, after checking that the account is yours.
